Playtesting Events: Where to Try Aridnyk

While our board game is still in the printing stage, we already have a few prototypes — perfect for events like these! It’s a great opportunity to test out the upcoming game before its official release.

Together with our partners, we organized two playtesting sessions:

• the first one at the Octopus Board Game Club & Store (October 20, 2023)
• and the second at Gavial Board Game Store (October 21, 2023)

These events helped us realize a few important things.

First of all, despite its adorable and family-friendly look, our game was a huge hit with adult players.

Secondly, we might have underestimated «Aridnyk» a little. The game was originally designed for players aged 10 and up — but during the Gavial session, the youngest participant was just six years old!

Of course, we don’t expect every small child to dive right in — the game still involves plenty of text and requires a bit of strategic thinking. But we’re confident that every player can find something to enjoy.

The bright, detailed artwork, engaging characters, and charmingly quirky sheep appeal to players of all ages.

We hope the kids enjoyed exploring the cards — and the adults had fun finding their sheep among the flock.
