[Announcement] Aridnyk — the FIRST board game from boardova

The boardova team is ready to lift the curtain and share the story behind the creation of the board game «Aridnyk»!

This game was developed in partnership with UA Comix, based on the graphic novel «Aridnyk. The Creation of the World» by artist Liudmyla Samus and concept author Nestor Lisovskyi.

Its story draws inspiration from Hutsul legends recorded in Volodymyr Shukhevych’s ethnographic study «Hutsulshchyna», Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi’s novella «Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors», as well as traditional songs and tales of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

We invite you to immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of Hutsul mythology and send your shepherds into the mountains, where they’ll tend to their sheep and encounter the mysterious spirits of the Carpathians. Gather and use enchanted items Trinkets and complete special missions Plots to earn rewards. The shepherd who ends the game with the largest flock will become the winner.
