The board game "Aridnyk" was created based on the painting "Aridnyk. Creation of the world". It is based on folktales and ancient ideas of ancient Ukrainians about the world, collected by Volodymyr Shukhevych in the ethnographic collection "Hutsulshchyna".

At the event, the authors of the game (chief developer Volodymyr Kuznetsov and founder of the publishing house Zholud Dobrovolskyi) will share more than 1.5 years of history of game strategy creation, game design and game testing in Ukraine.

Inspired by stories about Hutsul spirits, the developers created a game world in which players become shepherds who lead their flocks of sheep through mountain rivers, forests and fields, meeting the spirits of the majestic Carpathians along the way: Aridnyk, Boga, Aley, Vovka and others.

The board game "Aridnyk" was the first to be developed by the Ukrainian publishing house boardova, but now the team is preparing for the announcement of several more releases, which they plan to publish in 2024.
