In it, players will take on the role of vampires, immortal creatures, greedy and seductive, spending centuries in an endless struggle for survival, power, and their own fading humanity - for the inner Beast is perhaps the most terrible enemy. The Beast that lurks in the subconscious of every vampire is the embodiment of the curse of the undead. Deaf to the voice of reason, it is guided by pure instincts, in particular by Hunger - an inexorable thirst for living human blood. The only thing stronger than this hunger is the fear of sunlight and living fire, for they burn the vampire. According to legend, this was the curse imposed on Cain, the ancestor of all bloodlines. Even before the biblical flood, from before the beginning of history, vampires stood over mortals, feeding on them and ruling them with power and fear. But as time went on, humanity grew stronger and the fires of the Inquisition forced the undead lords to retreat into the shadows, hiding their existence under the cover of the Masquerade, a strict law that forbade vampires to reveal their cursed nature to mortals.
