The Sacred Grounds expansion invites shepherds on a journey guided by spirits.

In this expansion are some of the Carpathians’ famous natural wonders: the Uholka primeval beech forests, the Tustan Cliffs, the Synevyr Lake, the Shypit Waterfall, and the Borzhava Polonyna. Each sacred ground is represented by a special tile with a unique ability, and whoever finds the place first will gain its task card.

This is an expansion. A copy of Aridnyk base game is required to play.

WHAT'S NEW: what are these grounds?

Any soul that has ever traveled to the Carpathians knows them to be full of ancient charms and mysteries. But even in the Carpathians, there are special places, sacred grounds, glorified in legends – but they are hard to find, and their secrets even harder to uncover.

In this expansion, the shepherds will search for the spirit's Waypoint Tokens to discover legendary sacred grounds. Each sacred ground is represented by a special Sacred Ground Tile with a unique ability, and

Whoever finds the place first will gain the Sacred Ground Card with a task. If they complete the task, they will receive extra win points.

Unique Carpathian's places

The inspiration for this expansion came from the famous natural sights of the Carpathians.

By adding Sacred Ground Tiles to the game, you will see the famous outlines of the ancient Tustan cliffs, the legendary Shypit Waterfall, the largest lake in the Carpathians, Synevyr, and the primeval beech forests of Uholka, which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
